You can give a Thanksgiving Blessing in a simple basket
Tyler Ryan learns about the annual Blessings in a Basket program
COLUMBIA SC (WOLO) – The annual Blessings in a Basket campaign, where real estate agents from across the Country work directly with the community to gather 20,000 baskets filled with everyone a family needs for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.
According to Keller Williams Columbia Agent Corrina Thomas, the national program boils down to agents on the local level, all doing their part to reach the 20,000 basket goal. Thomas says that her goal is 100 baskets that will be returned directly to folks in need in the Irmo area. She is asking the community to collect the items on the LIST, which includes a $15 turkey gift card, boxes of stuffing and mashed potatoes, cans of corn, green beans, and other “fixin’s” and drop them off at the Happy Hour Drop Off on November 15 at the Irmo Craft & Draft.
Thomas said that in the days after the Drop Off, Officers from the Irmo Police Department and the Lexington / Richland 5 schools with identify families in need, and deliver the baskets in time for Turkey day.
There will be door prizes, karaoke, and even light appetizers at the event, which runs from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
