Suspect in Sumter County shooting considered armed and dangerous

CHAUNCEY WILSONSUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Sumter County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man, wanted in a shooting that happened in Sumter County Saturday evening.

Deputies said Chauncey Wilson, 30, of Bishopville, shot his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend around 4:30 p.m. Saturday while the two were driving in separate cars along Red Bay Road.

We’re told that the shooting victim is expected to be okay.

Wilson was last seen driving a black Mercury Marquise with thin, yellow striping and a Pittsburgh Steelers sticker. Anyone who spots Wilson, or knows his current location, is cautioned not to approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.
