Seasonal nonstop flights to Miami to restart at Columbia Airport

American Airlines is restarting its seasonal nonstop service from Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) to Miami International Airport (MIA).

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– American Airlines is restarting its seasonal nonstop service from Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) to Miami International Airport (MIA).

For the summer residents will not need to book connecting flights to go to Miami as the service is beginning on Saturday, June 8.

“We are excited to once again be able to offer travelers across the Midlands region a nonstop flight option to the beautiful beaches of Miami, or a short stop on their way to international destinations like Barbados, Costa Rica, or St. Lucia,” said VP of Marketing & Air Service Development Kim J. Crafton.

Airport officials said the flight is currently set to depart from CAE on Saturday, June 8 and run through August 10, with the flights only operating on Saturdays.

“American Airlines deciding to restart this service for our market is great news,” said CAE President & CEO Mike Gula.

 

The flight schedule is slated for:

CAE – MIA at 7:30 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.

MIA – CAE at 9 p.m. – 11 p.m.
