Saluda County man sentenced to prison for 2022 murder

SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Saluda County man has been convicted in a 2022 murder case.

According to the Solicitor’s Office Earl Valentine was found guilty of the murder of Zonnie Cyrus.

In November of 2022, Saluda County deputies say Valentine shot and killed Cyrus near a pond on Hiland Farm Road in the Monetta area.

Valentine was sentenced to 55 years in prison.
