Today’s Forecast

The next two days will be quiet, with pretty typical fall weather. On Friday we’ll start to feel the impacts of Hurricane Matthew as it moves in from the south along the Florida/Georgia coast. From there it’s expected to track along the South Carolina coast on Saturday. It’s important to know that this is the best estimate, given what we know right now. On this track the coast would take the most significant hit, but we here in the Midlands would also experience widespread power outages and possible flooding. If the storm tracks farther out to sea, then our impacts would be lessened. If the storm tracks farther inland, then our impacts would be worse.
