Local Living: Shrek The Musical, “Make Music Day”, “Toucan Tuesday”

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, tickets for the next broadway musical coming to Columbia are on sale now.
Shrek The Musical will hit the stage at the Koger Center on Tuesday night through Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The musical is based off of the hit movie and features characters like Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and more. Tickets start at $45.
You can attend a free musical festival this Friday, June 21.
“Make Music Day” takes place at the Koger Center from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The event was first launched in 1982 in France, and is now held on the same day in more than one thousand cities in 120 countries.
You can give back through Riverbanks Zoo and Harvest Hope Food Banks’ “Toucan Tuesdays”.
Guests who bring two cans of non-perishable food items will receive buy-one-get-one admission tickets and buy-one-get-one regular sized Icees.
Toucan Tuesdays will take place every Tuesday through August 13, with donation bins located at the entrances to both the Zoo and Garden.
