COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– An Orangeburg County man has been charged in relation to lottery fraud, said SLED.

James Antonio Cheeseboro, 40, was charged with intent to defraud, counterfeit game tickets on Thursday, July 18, by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Cheeseboro is accused of taking the activation code for the tickets from a social media post made by a victim and then providing them to his manager, who manually entered them into the SCEL terminal at Quick Pantry #21.

SLED agents also said Cheeseboro redeemed the tickets for $445 without the consent of the ticket purchaser. He was seen on the store video and was identified by store management.

Cheeseboro was booked at the Orangeburg County Detention Center.
