SCHP: Driver dead, 4 taken to hospital after collision in Orangeburg County

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Highway Patrol says one person is dead and several are hurt after a single-vehicle wreck in Orangeburg on Monday.

It happened on U.S. highway 321, near the intersection of Baptist Church Road around 4:45 p.m.

According to troopers, the driver ran off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and then overturned.

The driver died at the scene and all four passengers in the vehicle were taken to hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
