SCHP: 1 dead after collision on Kelly Mill Road

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say one person is dead after an accident on Wednesday, September 18.

Officials say around 7:30 a.m. in the morning the driver of a 2019 Kia SUV ran off of Kelly Mill Road and went down an embankment before hitting a tree.

Troopers say the driver was taken to the hospital where they died from their injuries.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
