Dangerous driving crackdown in Kershaw County

CAMDEN, S.C. (AP) — State troopers are joining Kershaw County deputies and other local law enforcement for a crackdown on dangerous driving.
The Highway Patrol said they will have extra officers on hand in Kershaw County from Wednesday through Saturday.
The goal is to stop a sharp increase in traffic fatalities. Kershaw County has had 11 deaths on its roads so far in 2013 after having 12 deaths in all of 2012. Eight of the 11 deaths this year have been in alcohol-related crashes.
Officers will be looking for impaired drivers, aggressive drivers and speeders.
