US Rep. Clyburn hosts small business conference

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — U.S. Rep. James Clyburn is hosting a conference for small businesses in Orangeburg.

The Democrat said he is sponsoring Tuesday’s event to help small businesses owners get more information about how to do business with the federal government.

Clyburn said he has gotten many requests for assistance in helping companies deal with the complex procurement requirements of the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense.

The event is being held at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.
