Gov. Haley to talk to law enforcement in Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Gov. Nikki Haley is speaking to another group of law enforcement officials.
Haley will talk to more than 500 federal, state and local law enforcement officers at 8:15 a.m. Monday at a Criminal Justice Information Services training conference.
The three-day conference at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center is being sponsored by the State Law Enforcement Division. It will focus on identity theft and how law enforcement can use databases and other information services to identify suspects and their ties to gangs and other criminals.
Haley was in Taylors last week signing a bill into law that gives police dog units extra protection in court when the dogs bite suspects.
