SC Snow: A look at the impact from school closings to icy roads
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–Snow much fun! Midlands folks got out and enjoyed the snow on Wednesday. We headed to the USC Horseshoe where you could see people enjoying snow ball fights, making snow angels and walking their dogs.
Schools were out Wednesday so children across the Midlands enjoyed the snow day.
ABC Columbia News has now learned that many Districts will not re-open on Thursday. For a list of closings and delays click here https://www.abccolumbia.com/2025/01/22/school-closings-delays-for-thursday/
In Richland County, Government offices and facilities will open for normal operations at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 after a delayed start.
A reminder, if you have to be out on the roads drive slow. There is concern for the potential of black ice, once again Thursday night, as the snow freezes on the roads.
