WATCH: City to unveil statue honoring Dawn Staley

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–  The City of Columbia, in partnership with the Statues for Equality and community partners will unveil a statue honoring University of South Carolina coach Dawn Staley.

The tribute celebrates her championship legacy as a coach and player, and also her unwavering commitment to leadership, community empowerment, and uplifting future generations.

The statue will be unveiled on Wednesday, April 30 at 4 p.m. at the intersection of Senate St. and Lincoln St. (900 Senate St, Columbia, SC 29201), located right next to the University of South Carolina Pastides Alumni Center.
