Cracking Down on Sex Offenders
KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — The Kershaw County Sheriff‘s Office is stepping up its enforcement of sex offender laws. Deputies have obtained four arrest warrants for sex offenders who have either failed to register or to notify of a change of address. George Obryant King (pictured here) was arrested for a second offense of failure to register. He had been convicted in 1998 for committing a lewd act on a child under the age of 16. Deputies also arrested Christopher Lee Winkler for failure to register. He was originally arrested in 2002 for criminal sexual conduct with a minor between the ages of 11-14. Both men are currently being detained at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
