KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A man is facing multiple charges after a Wednesday incident, say Kershaw County deputies.
The sheriff’s office says on Wednesday, September 17, deputies responded to the intersection of Dicey Creek Road and Broad Street in Camden.
Deputies were alerted that a female ran into a business claiming that someone was after her and trying to kill her.
Investigators were able to determine that the victim and another person were in a relationship and had an argument that turned physical.
During the incident, the victim left her location on Dogwood Lane in Cassatt and went to another location off of Providence Road.
The person accused of getting physical who is identified as 34-year-old Raymond Lewis Bailey went back to the home where another male and juvenile female were asleep, according to investigators.
He then woke up a couple, and forced them into a car at gunpoint, while ordering them to take him to his girlfriend’s location.
When they arrived to the second location, Bailey is accused of forcing his way into the place while armed.
Additionally, he is accused of forcing his girlfriend into a second car at gunpoint and forcing her to drive the car.
While driving down Robinson Town Road, Bailey grabbed the wheel of the car and caused the vehicle to wreck into a telephone pole.
Bailey and his girlfriend were picked up by the other couple who was following them.
They then pulled off on a side road where Bailey assaulted the victim and forced everyone back into the car, and drove to Camden.
Law enforcement say once the car became disabled on Dicey Creek Road, the victim went into a business where she asked employees to call law enforcement.
Bailey was found at a business on Broad Street when he was taken into custody.
He will be charged with 3 counts of kidnapping, 3 counts of pointing and presenting a firearm, burglary 1st degree, 4 counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, 2 counts of assault and battery 1st degree, 2 counts of felon in possession of a firearm, and CDVHAN.
Also, he is being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
