A full circle moment for a local businesswoman

Musician Brandy Norwood closed a loop of inspiration while at the CLA

COLUMBIA SC (WOLO) – In 2008, future businesswoman Kiara Streater was a young woman, balancing many “challenges” of life, including motherhood, dreams of the future, and more.  She entered a contest sponsored by 100.1 The Beat, where one winner would have the opportunity to meet Brandy Norwood when she was in Columbia.

For Streater, the opportunity would amazing, and Norwood was a hero to her, as she saw a lot of herself in the star.  Because life works in amazing ways, Streater won the contest, and her dream was realized.  The time was more than a “meet and greet.”  It was a moment that would change her forever.

With that inspiring moment, a passion was lit, and Streater would soon go on to become a wife, mother of three, and even Harvard graduate.  Continuing to grow over the next decade, Streater never forgot that connection and motivating time in 2008.

After learning that Brandy was returning to the Capital City, Streater knew she was supposed to reconnect with her hero.  Through nothing short of a miracle, once again, Streater found herself with the opportunity to reconnect with Norwood.  She found herself with tickets to the show, and backstage passes, but this time, it wasn’t simply a photo as part of a meet and greet line.  She reconnected with her friend, and sat with her family, creating a full circle moment.  It wasn’t a moment between a celebrity and fan.  It was an honest, real connection.

Proof that there may be things at work that are bigger, unseen and unknown.
