Tasty Tuesday: Guthrie’s Chicken expands in the Midlands

COLUMBIA SC (WOLO) – Guthrie’s Chicken, who have the standard for chicken fingers for several decades, have expanded again in the Midlands.  Opening as a drive-in restaurant in 1965, Founder Hal Guthrie took a bold step in the late 70’s, pivoting to chicken fingers.  Fast-forward a few decades, and their “fingerprint” (see what I did there?), includes over 70 restaurants, including two in the Midlands.

Tanner Guthrie, Hal’s Grandson joined The Manmade Gourmet Tyler Ryan on The Morning Show to share some chicken and the story of how doing one thing has made Guthrie’s the chicken finger specialists.
