Traffic Alert: Road closure causes heavy congestion on Highway 277

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) –  Officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are working to reroute traffic on the northbound lanes on Highway 277.

Vehicles are being turned around and asked to exit the highway on Fontaine Road.

At this point, no agency has confirmed why the road has been closed.
