Richland County officials identify stabbing victim

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Richland County officials have released the name of a man stabbed to death earlier this week.

Coroner Gary Watts says 21-year-old Michael R. Smith of Columbia died late Sunday morning at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital. Watts says Smith died from stab wounds to the chest.

Twenty-five-year-old Anthony McWilson was arrested following the stabbing about 3 a.m. Sunday.
