Sumter middle school dismisses early due to water main break

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– A Sumter middle school has dismissed early after a water main break, says the district.

According to district officials, Chestnut Oaks Middle School was dismissed early on Tues, Feb. 24, due to a water main break that is not expected to be repaired until later this afternoon.

Parents and guardians are asked to begin picking up their children now.

Buses are expected to start running at 12:45 p.m., say district officials.

School staff will remain with students until all students are picked up
