Newberry County deputies searching for missing 79-year-old man

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County deputies are searching for a missing 79-year-old man, said the sheriff’s office.

James David Simpson, Jr., of the Lake Murray area of Prosperity was last seen leaving his home on Sunday evening, March 1, and then he was later seen on Monday, March 2, in Prosperity.

Simpson is a white male, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds, with white receding hair and a white mustache.

He may be driving a 2005 black Ford F150 pick up, with SC Tag PH10001.

Deputies said he has health issues and may not have all his needed medicines.
