Gas prices rise for 24th straight day

(CNN)– U.S. gas prices rose for the 24th straight day Tuesday, March 24.

According to AAA, the national average price for a gallon of regular gas now sits at $3.98.

That’s the highest price since 2022, and up more than a dollar in just the past month.

In South Carolina, the average price for gas is $3.68 a gallon.

This comes as the war in Iran has disrupted tanker traffic through the Straight of Hormuz, choking off about 20% of the world’s oil supply.
