Watch it here! — Six candidates participate in Gubernatorial Forum

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Take a look! — The majority of Monday night’s Gubernatorial Forum can be seen in the video above with momentary breaks.

Six candidates — four GOP candidates and two Democratic candidates — in the race for the governor’s office met at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business on Tuesday night for a Gubernatorial Forum.

The event was hosted by the business association South Carolina Manufacturers and Commerce. SCMC CEO Sara Hazzard led the forum, asking each candidate the same questions including what their top priorities are should they win, what issue(s) they would tackle first, how they would help businesses across South Carolina thrive in terms of regulations and tort reform, and what issues should be tackled regarding our infrastructure.

Each candidate — Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman, Rep. and Dr. Jermaine Johnson, Sen. Josh Kimbrell, Attorney General Alan Wilson, and Businessman Billy Webster — were allotted 20 minutes to answer the list of questions.

Another gubernatorial debate is scheduled for April 21st in Charleston. South Carolina primaries are June 9th, and Election Day is November 3rd.

Absent from Tuesday’s forum were Republican U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, Democratic Attorney Mullins McLeod, Republican Businessman Rom Reddy, and Green Party enthusiast Walid Hakim.
