Man’s body recovered in Lake Murray

LAKE MURRAY, SC (WOLO) — According to the SC Department of Natural Resources, its dive team has recovered the body of a man they were searching for on Lake Murray near the Newberry-Lexington County line.

Officials say he entered the water on Saturday afternoon to assist someone in distress and never resurfaced.

No further information, including the victim’s name, has been given at this time.
