Gas prices rise for 5th straight day

(CNN)– Gas prices started the week by continuing their upward trajectory.

The average price for a gallon of gas inched up just a penny Monday, April 27, 2026, to reach $4.11.

That brings it closer to reaching its recent peak of $4.17 on April 9th.

It also marks the 5th day of increasing prices.

In South Carolina, the average price for gas is $3.82 a gallon.
