1 dead, multiple injured after shooting at The Jerk Hut restaurant

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department say they are investigating a shooting that left multiple people injured and one dead at The Jerk Hut restaurant on the 1000 block of Zimalcrest Drive.

According to RCSD, deputies responded to a shots fired call in the area of the 1000 block of  Zimalcrest Drive early Sunday morning, finding multiple victims with gunshot wounds.

Two victims were taken to local hospitals. Several other victims drove themselves to a nearby hospital for treatment.

This remains an active scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
