COLUMBIA, SC (AP)– The governor says a tire company has made the largest initial capital investment by a company in South Carolina history. Bridgestone Americas is investing $1.2 billion in three Aiken County projects that will create more than 850 jobs by 2020. Bridgestone Americas Inc. officials say the tire company is investing $1.2 billion total in three projects in Aiken County, creating more than 850 jobs by 2020.
