CPD arrest additional people in Five Points shooting investigation
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police have arrested two additional people in connection with a September shooting that happened in the Five Points area, say police.

The shooting happened on September 5, 2026, at 1001 Harden Street in Five Points.
Jayden Milak Howell has been arrested and charged with breach of peace, aggravated in nature.
Also, a juvenile has been arrested and charged by petition with breach of peace aggravated in nature, possession of a machine gun, and possession of a firearm by a person under 18.
Investigators confirmed the juvenile was also shot during the incident.
These arrests are part of CPD’s ongoing investigation into the gunfire that occurred in Five Points that evening.
Additional arrests and charges are possible as investigators continue identifying individuals involved and reviewing evidence, says Columbia PD.
