COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – In celebration of Earth Day students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool explored a bug’s life.
The kids released ladybugs into the schoolyard and back into the environment.
The students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm plants.
Teachers say this is a great way to teach kids about the environment.
The ladybug release is an annual event.
