Sheriff: Body recovered from crashed car in SC pond

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office say one person is dead from drowning involving a car accident.

According to deputies, the vehicle has been recovered from an Elgin pond on Chestnut Hill Road.

The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

Kershaw County Coroner David West will release the victim’s information after proper family notification.
