Emergency Landing In Columbia

Columbia, SC (WOLO)- A United Airlines flight bound for Charleston had to make an emergency landing after being hit by lightning. The plane was diverted to Columbia Metropolitan Airport for a safety inspection. The 47 people on board were bussed to Charleston as a precaution. passengers reported a bright flash of lightning that jolted the plane and then the smell of something burning. no one was injured.
