Former Area Sheriff Arrested

Lancaster, SC (WOLO)- A former Lancaster County Sheriff has been arrested after authorities found a gun and laptop that belonged to the sheriff’s office in his home. The state law enforcement division charged 58-year-old John Cauthen with misdemeanor breach of trust. Sled says Cauthen should have returned the property when he left office in 2008.
