Man gets 35 years for Columbia robbery, killing
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for killing a man during a robbery and leaving him in his running car.
Prosecutors said a Richland County jury found 20-year-old Victor White guilty Thursday of murder.
Authorities say White robbed Steven Duckett in February 2010, then shot him in the head and left him in his running car in the drive-thru lane of a KFC in Columbia.
Prosecutors say White will have to serve his entire 35-year sentence without a chance for parole or early release.
