USC Baseball Left Out of NCAA Tournament

For the first time since 1999, the South Carolina baseball program will not be heading to the NCAA Tournament. The Tournament selection committee leaving USC out of the postseason, marking the end of an era at Carolina. USC finished the season 32-25, but won only three conference series (Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M) in its SEC slate, while posting the worst conference record (13-17) since finishing the 1996-1997 season with the same 13-17 record. Carolina was ousted the first day of the SEC Tournament by Missouri, making three straight seasons the Gamecocks have not made it to the third day of the Tournament. After the season, USC announced Catcher Logan Koch and Shortstop Jordan Gore would be leaving the team for undisclosed reasons. Chad Holbrook will address the media Thursday.
