Mayor Steve Benjamin works the drive-thru window at McDonald’s to promote summer hiring blitz

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin joined the McDonald’s team earlier today, working the drive-thru window at the Gervais Street store. The mayor was there to help promote a summer hiring blitz that will help fill 1,700 jobs across the Palmetto State, and hundreds here in the Midlands.

Corporate managers and local franchise owners touted the many opportunities that employees can get acquire under the golden arches. There are currently 120 full-time and part-time opportunities that this franchise is looking to fill in the Midlands area.
