WALTERBORO, S.C. (AP) — One man has been arrested in the shooting and wounding of three people outside the Colleton County jail in Walterboro.
Police say a man fired into a vehicle about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, wounding three people in the vehicle. A woman in the car also was hit by broken glass.
Forty-nine-year-old Ervin Sanders of Round O is charged with four counts of attempted murder, criminal domestic violence, possession of a gun during a violent crime and firing a gun in the city limits.
All four people were taken to Colleton Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. One of the victims was flown to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for treatment.
It was unclear Wednesday if Sanders has an attorney.
