Columbia Housing Board of Commissioners accepts resignation of CEO

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Columbia Housing Board of Commissioners says it has accepted the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Ivory Mathews.

Columbia Housing released a statement which reads, “The Columbia Housing Board of Commissioners has accepted the resignation of Ivory N. Mathews, who has led the agency since July 2019. On behalf of the entire Board, we thank Ms. Mathews for her service.

We want to advise the public that the Board of Commissioners is committed to continuing with all pending initiatives and ensuring stability for our residents and staff. To accomplish a successful transition, we have a competent senior team led by Yvonda Bean who has been Chief Operating Officer since September 2019. The Board of Commissioners has unanimously voted to appoint Mrs. Bean as Interim CEO. We believe that under her leadership, the senior team will continue our level of service to our residents and stakeholders during this period.”
