SC law enforcement details legislative priorities

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina’s top prosecutor is hosting a conversation about what he sees as top bills in this year’s legislative session.
Attorney General Alan Wilson on Wednesday is holding a conference call with law enforcement leaders including State Law Enforcement Division Chief Mark Keel, Solicitor David Pascoe and South Carolina Sheriff’s Association Director Jeff Moore.
The law enforcement officials will give their support to several bills including one allowing prosecutors to be able to keep the same number of people off a jury as defense attorneys for serious crimes. They also will support a bill clearing up the state’s law against human trafficking and ask for more money for law enforcement.
