One sent to the hospital after fire on Westside Drive

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– One person was sent to the hospital today after a fire. West Columbia fire crews say they, along with the County of Lexington and City of Cayce Fire Department responded to the fire around 6:40 a.m. in the 700 block of Westside Drive. Smoke was seen coming from the building.

One person was found inside by fire crews. Lexington County EMS transported the person to a hospital, but there is no word yet on their condition.
