Authorities: 4 dead in SC home were couple, their mothers

PENDLETON, S.C. (AP) – Authorities say the four people found dead in an Anderson County home were a husband, wife and their mothers. Coroner Greg Shore tells multiple media that a daughter of one of the victims found the four and called 911. Lt. Sheila Cole says deputies were called about a shooting at the home near Pendleton about 12:30 p.m. Cole says there is no danger to the public. Shore says Mike Scott talked to his boss Sunday via text message. Anderson County Sheriff’s Capt. Garland Major says authorities are trying to determine a time frame between that conversation and when the four were found. The coroner says the four victims were the only people who lived at the home. Other family members lived at another home on the property.
