SC Lawmakers declare Raceway Week in Darlington

DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP)– South Carolina lawmakers have passed a concurrent resolution designating Aug. 29-Sept. 4 as ‘Darlington Raceway Week, A Week Too Tough To Tame.’ Hartsville Senator Gerald Malloy was a driving force behind the resolution. SC DSS Settles Lawsuit

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ The South Carolina Department of Social Services has ended a lawsuit by agreeing to lower social workers’ caseloads, put fewer children in institutions, and do a better job investigating allegations of abuse. Crimestoppers Tip Leads to Arrest of Attempted Murder Suspect

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities say a Crimestoppers tip lead to the arrest of a 20-year-old man wanted for three counts of attempted murder. RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner released the name of the woman who died following a police chase along Two Notch Road Sunday morning.
