Clemson Opens Maine Series With 10-1 Win

In below-freezing temperatures for most of the game, Clemson outlasted Maine 10-1 at Lake Olmstead Stadium on Friday. The series was originally scheduled to be played in Clemson, but it was moved to Augusta due to inclement weather and field conditions. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 2-2 on the season. Maine dropped to 1-4 in 2015.

USC Runs Over Razorbacks 73-56

No. 2/2 South Carolina posted its program-record seventh SEC road victory of the season after weathering multiple Arkansas runs and using a late 9-0 surge to put the game out of reach in a 73-56 win at Bud Walton Arena on Thursday night. Four Gamecocks (25-1, 13-0 SEC) reached double figures with Tiffany Mitchell leading the way with 15 points. Alaina Coates notched her 11th double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Claflin Clocks Benedict 82-58

The Claflin Panthers went on an 18-5 run in the second half and pulled away from a close game to take an 82-58 victory over the Benedict Tigers on Thursday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Claflin (15-13, 12-7 SIAC) had five players in double figures, led by Kendall Jackson with 21 points.
