The Gamecocks (1-1) dropped three spots in the Associated Press poll to No. 24, while they fell two slots to No. 23 in the Amway Coaches’ poll. South Carolina was ranked 21st in both polls last week prior to a 33-23 win over East Carolina on Saturday night.
The 12th-ranked South Carolina men’s golf team captured its first team title of the season after firing a final-round 276 (-12) on Sunday at the Carpet Capital Collegiate at The Farm Golf Club.
