Bad Back Forces Early PGA Exit For Johnson

Irmo native Dustin Johnson has withdrawn from the Humana Challenge midway through his second round, citing back pain. Johnson, a former Dutch Fork High School standout, withdrew Friday after playing the first nine holes at La Quinta Country Club.

USC Women Drop Third Straight

South Carolina’s offense struggled to get on track in a 53-49 loss at Auburn Thursday night in SEC women’s basketball action at Auburn Arena. Sancheon White ripped down 13 of the Gamecocks’ 42 rebounds, but 28.6 percent shooting allowed the Tigers to hold off a second-half South Carolina (14-5, 3-3 SEC) charge.

Miami Unkind To Clemson Again
