D’Angelo Finalist For National Award

South Carolina senior goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo has been selected as one of 10 finalists for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award for women’s soccer, presented to student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. Candidates are choses based on their dedication and achievement in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.

Former Gamecock Kicked In The Face

Former Gamecock Spencer Lanning makes a living kicking a football. Sunday he was on the receiving end of a kick…to the face.

The Cleveland Browns punter was covering his own punt when Pittsburgh return man Antonio Brown tried to hurdle him. Lanning received a foot to the face but helped to bring Brown down. Brown was hit with a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty.

USC Tied For 3rd After Regional 1st Round

The fourth-seeded South Carolina men’s golf team shot a 286 (+6) on Thursday in the opening round of the NCAA Eugene Regional at Eugene Country Club. The Gamecocks finished the day in a tie for third place with North Florida and are 10 shots back of tournament leader Stanford. The top five teams and low individual not on those teams will advance to next week’s NCAA Championship.
