Lexington deputies plan charity motorcycle ride

LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — Lexington County deputies are coordinating a motorcycle ride to raise money for an effort to send World War II veterans to visit memorials in Washington.

Sheriff James Metts says all proceeds from the event Saturday in areas near Lake Murray benefit Honor Flight South Carolina.

Metts says Sgt. David Amick is coordinating the benefit ride, which is in its third year. Metts says Amick previously served in the U.S. Navy.
