Gamecocks Lose At Missouri 24-10

Missouri quarterback Drew Lock threw three touchdowns and the Tigers picked off three Lorenzo Nunez passes en route to a 24-10 win over South Carolina. The Gamecocks drop to 2-3, 0-3 in the SEC. It’s Steve Spurrier’s first 0-3 start in conference play since his first season at USC in 2005. The Tigers improve to 4-1, 1-1 in the SEC. Nunez, who sprained his shoulder in the 4th quarter and didn’t return to the game, was 15 of 24 passing for 172 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. The freshman also ran for 60 yards on 15 carries and accounted for 232 of USC’s 298 total yards. Lock went 21 of 28 for 132 passing yards and three touchdowns in his first career start. It was the first game in SEC history that featured two true freshman starting quarterbacks.
