Police: Man, woman charged in connection with fatal shooting

LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A West Columbia man and a Lexington woman have been charged in connection with the shooting death of a man in Red Bank.

Multiple news outlets report 29-year-old Marion Wade Frye and 26-year-old Katelyn Turner were arrested Friday.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Capt. Adam Myrick says Frye is charged with murder in connection with the death of Joshua Miles Prine of Gaston.

Prine was fatally shot Thursday at his home. Myrick says the incident stemmed from an argument between Prine and Frye.

Myrick says Turner is charged with being an accessory to murder after police say she allegedly helped Frye escape from Prine’s home following the shooting.

Frye and Turner are being held at the county’s detention center. It isn’t clear if either Frye or Turner have an attorney.
