Former players, fans react to Spurrier resignation

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Steve Spurrier is reportedly retiring from the University of South Carolina as the head football coach and former players and supporters took to social media to express their thoughts. University of South Carolina president Harris Pastides:

Spurrier’s weekly press conference is scheduled for noon EST on Tuesday.
The Gamecocks are 2-4 and 0-4 in the Southeastern Conference for the first time in Spurrier’s 23 seasons coaching in the league at Florida and South Carolina.
